Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse

The food really was not that great of a value. I had the smoked turkey and sure it had a smoked flavor, but it was dry and a tiny portion for $15. The slaw on the plate was a creamy version, but it was dripping with sauce and basically you could drink the slaw. Others in my party had the brisket, burger, and porkchop. I did not hear one this is so good . One visit is enough for me.

We were referred to Bootleggers by a friend. Very friendly greating by hostess. We were accommodated nicely as we had a change in party number. From 2 to 6. The appetizers were very good. Our entree's were also quite delicious. Tacos, macaroni, dumplings, homemade potato chips, and special were all very good. Service was forgetful but good attitude. Just several mistakes made primarily due to forgetting..Manager seemed non exixtent. We had some questions regarding the menu and waiter did not know the answers. He did not seem to know where to go to get information. for example, it was Wednesday evening and in bold on bottom menu was Prime Rib Wednesdays. We asked about at he indicated that they never have served any prime rib before. He said it must be an item that people never noticed before. He did go to ask someone and came back with less information if possible. Although we will return as food was good and price was right.

Bootleggers has the best burger I've ever eaten anywhere!! The quality meat, whiskey onions, smoked bacon and special sauce make this burger. Not to mention the soft and delicious pretzel bun! In addition, the apple pie moonshine is to die for. I will going back again to try other things on their menu!!

Great food for meat lovers. Rustic as my friend put it. The cocktails were quite unique and enjoyable. Service was timely and fabulous. Loved it!!
