Winkel - Philadelphia

My friend just had a medical procedure suggested lunch at one of her favorite restaurants, Winkel. It was my first time there and the waiter recommended the Crab Frittata, which I don 't recommend. It was bland no flavor. I don 't think it was prepared with real eggs. The staff was friendly and when asked how is everything, I remained silent. I didn 't want to spoil our visit by complaining about the food which she loves.

Came to the city for a day to visit a friend and we chose to eat here, and it was a great decision! I got the salmon benedict and it was fantastic, and my boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich. He said it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches he’s ever had! My friend got the classic benedict and she said it was also a winner. I’ll recommend to friends!

Great food. Good prices. Excellent service. Beautiful view of a public art in right across the street doesn't hurt the eyes either

The food was great and the service was great. What I really didn’t like was the fact that they put the 20% tip in the bill before I did. I want to be free to choose the tip and not be kindly forced to and in this case we were just a party of four (2 adults 2kids . I would not in the middle of the breakfast call the waiter and required to change the tip so I am ‘kindly forced’ to accept this and I really don’t like it

This place is a great breakfast spot! My wife and I split the Big Breakfast and it was perfectly portioned for both of us and everything was delicious. The coffee is very good too! We got iced vanilla lattes. This is an awesome breakfast spot!
