Marathon Grill - Philadelphia

The first time here visiting our faughter and ahe suggested we go here. Love the food, service, and atmosphere.

The food was a major disappointment. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it was drowning in oil and so overcooked I couldn 't cut through it. My fiance ordered a chicken pot pie and the vegetables and potatoes were still raw. I wouldn 't have bothered posting a review about this but the entire meal was over $80 for two entrees we could barely eat and a lackluster appetizer. Also when we first arrived we had to wait for the host to finish their conversation with another staff member before being greeted. I understand being busy but to completely ignore a guest and not at least say I 'll be right with you is a bit rude. Overall not a great experience and wish we had spent our time and money elsewhere.

I wish I had ordered the pomegranate ribs, for myself. I had a taste and they were incredible.

One of the most underrated spots in Philly great sandwiches, delicious soup especially the matzo ball soup, and quality reasonable prices

It was nice very friendly place. Out of place, gritty Philly area and suddenly a real friendly spot. Nice, but weird.
