Such a cute, comfy bar. Great to meet up with the girlies for drinks or a date spot. Their bar area is intimate and their cocktail/drinks menu is great. I've gotten the lunch before and this time opted for the rose. Cant go wrong with any of their drink choices 5/5Their food options are great for sharing so it's great for groups. We had gone between the meat vs the cheese option for the board and opted for a mix of the two. Our waiter was patient and knowledgeable to help us make the final decision. We previously ordered the fried brussel sprouts for our last visit. I think overall my impression of the food has been 3.5/5 stars.The staff was 5/5 SO sweet! Would recommend. For dessert we were deciding between a few options when our waiter came out with a surprise dessert with a candle for my friend's birthday.Parking: Depending on the time of day, finding parking can be difficult.On a weekday evening, you are looking for parking to eat whilst people are getting home from work. There is street parking—on some streets it’s paid and others it’s free. I take whatever I can find first.Some spots say “no parking between X hours” which looks tricky but usually you can park there!

Past few days I feel like I have been overpaying for meh food at restaurants in and around Center City. Bar Hygge was a pleasant surprise with great food and service and clean, nice, civilized atmosphere for reasonable prices. I recommend the pretzel bites and the beet salad (add salmon) and I really enjoyed the kettle sour on draft too. I will be back and I’ll bring my friends and family, but I came alone this time and was very comfortable dining by myself there.Edit to add: I was particularly impressed that their gender neutral bathrooms were stocked with period products. That really gives them a classy edge in my opinion.

Great place, wide selection of good beer and nice cocktails. The best “hygge” part is getting a tray with several small dishes. All the food was really great. Outdoor seating and a number of little huts on the sidewalk that fits a group.

Been here twice. Food is delicious but I don't enjoy intentionally being served cold food. I got the grilled artichoke the first time I was here and it was delicious. The server warned me explicitly it was extremely hot. Second time I came we order it as an appetizer and never got it. We were served the main course and I asked where the appetizer went. They said they forgot my order and apologized. They got it out in about 1 minute and it was flat cold which means they either didn't cook it or it had been sitting in the back and they forgot to bring it out... Didn't even bother to warm it up.It's a shame because the food is really good. It's not ok to give your customers cold food that's been sitting. Just remake it. I didn't mind waiting. That means either the server doesn't care about the customer experience, the restaurant is too cheap to fix their employees' mistakes, or both.Disappointing.
