Amari's - Philadelphia

They used to have poetry workshops and live jazz on Sundays. I didn't see live jazz today but maybe it happened earlier in the day. I love to get the fried swai fillet that comes with 2 sides. Today I got greens and mac and cheese as sides. The mac wasn't cheesy enough. There was some cheesy flavored butter sauce on the macaroni but I needed to add my own cheese at home. The greens were really spicy but flavorful. I will come back and just get different sides and go back to some other old time favorites.

Everything was excellent about this place. Came with family and a few of my family members had been here before and highly recommended, especially my brother who tends to not go to the same establishment more than once, so I knew it had to be good. I got the salmon cheesesteak the Amari way. It was absolutely delicious. Got it with the seasoned potatoes instead of fries and it was so good. My aunt also let me taste her seafood omelette and I said that would be the next thing I purchase when I go back, because I definitely will be going back. The owner came out and spoke with us and was absolutely friendly and informative. As we were there late and they were closing, he asked us if we minded that they would be cleaning around us. We were happy that he communicated with us, and we were done eating at that point anyway. I truly cannot say enough good things about Amari’s and am looking forward to returning soon!

I had wheat toast, home fries, seafood omelet, pomegranate lemonade, it was good , everything was fresh, my friend had 2 eggs fried hard, home fries, steak she enjoyed it, customer service was A1 , definitely Will dine there again.

Clean quaint spot.. Service slow waitress rude.Owner is professional. After a 30.min wait for the shrimp grits l was not impressed to watery.

The vibes were good, the food was great. I brought my family here, and definitely will try to bring my friends here next! :
