Springhill - Pflugerville

Its been several years since Ive been here. I really dont eat out much. I was asked by a friend to meet up here for lunch today. I did not hesitate because I remember the food being good there. It was a lunch service and I walked up to the all you can eat bar and was BLOWN away with how fresh everything looked and tasted. This is truly a gem of Pflugerville.

Really would like to give 3.5 stars. The catfish and catfish/shrimp baskets 5 stars perfectly cooked and served with tartar and cocktail sauces. The Cole slaw was also very good. Chicken fried steak 2 stars had too much gristle and under seasoned. Peach Cobbler 2 stars very little peach and probably the last serving in the pan. Atmosphere/cleanliness 2 stars a large amount of greasy dust on the window next to our booth.

25 bucks for lunch buffet is crazy, that includes a tea and tip. Been going here since 96 but dam its expensive

Old time atmosphere, very quaint. Good food and our waitress was friendly and efficient. We were the noisy group there, I hope we didn't disturb the other dinners.

The catfish and onion rings are delightfully, the batter isthin and flaky. The place is hard to find after dark.
