LE MARQUEE - Peyrignac

We dropped in here on the recommendation of a friend and this place has it all, great music, great beer and pizza. What more can you want in life but the simple pleasures. The staff were great and put up with a couple of Brits whose French is diabolical and did it all with a smile, they are welcoming friendly and warm. We well recommend this place to anybody in the area.

Went for a meal here on our last night of a 3 night stay in the region. It was a Sunday night, in a very quiet area of the Dordogne, and our choices were very limited. We had driven past here earlier in our stay, and thought it looked nice, so thought we'd give it a go. We got a seat outside on the terrace, it was quite busy, and service was slow. Most of the menu consisted of pizzas and pastas, plus a few specials. All our party had pizza or pasta, and it was a long time before we all received our meals. The portions were very generous, but I've had better pizzas from Dominos! To summarise, it was ok, it served it's purpose, as we were all hungry, and it was a nice place, but the food was nothing special.

Nice place, very friendly service. Looks like a great music venue . The food was very nice and reasonably priced. Our in laws use this place a lot and I can see why. Pizzas look huge and great value. I had a steak which was very nice. All in all we had a real nice night at a well run family business. Would I go back? You bet!

Stopped by en-route to the airport and found this gem. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we had an unhurried (but not slow) lunch. Even though we arrived late (by French standards) we were warmly welcomed and, being the last to leave the restaurant, this continued to the end of our stay. The food was of a good standard and service excellent.

We have been going to Le Marquee since it opened. It is always a pleasure: good ambience, good food, friendly reception every time Lunch, Dinner or Repas concert. Today we had lunch with our friends, they had not been before, we all enjoyed it.
