Bidrage med feedbackPerfect place for out-of-towners! We were driving from Philadelphia to Charleston and spent the night in the area. We didn't want to stay in the room and order room service so we looked on Google maps. Friendly employees! Delicious food! Reasonable prices!
My crew and I had an excellent time. The fish and shrimp were really good. My hubby enjoyed his burger and fries and our friend raved over his crab cakes. Our waitress was phenomenal. We were served well and felt like we could let our hair down here.
The Lighthouse continues to be a nice dining experience. I took my mom there for her birthday. They've updated the decor as it's been a while since I've been there. It's nice and remains a sea theme but the carpet is gone and the restaurant is a little more open. I feel like without the carpet the restaurant feels cooler (so take a sweater). The menu has changed a little and things are a little more expensive but it is still worth the money. I got the catfish dinner which comes with 2 sides. 2 fried filets, baked potato, and green beans. And, of course, their yummy hush puppies.
Very friendly staff and clean restaurant for low key eats. Food was good with complimentary hush puppies (tho I wish they wouldn't fry them in the same oil as onion rings). Full bar for those who imbibe. 2 minutes off rt-95 with easy on/off...and a wayyyy better choice than a welcome center or rest stop.
It had been a long time since we had visited this restaurant. Food was excellent yrs ago. Food was ok this time. My husband ordered combo platter w LG shrimp and flounder, both fried. The shrimp was good but the fish was not as tasty. One of the pieces of fish looked as though it had been refried again. We did send that back and they sent out another piece. I had baby shrimp broiled. Mine was good. Overall if I was in the area again I might would go back to eat there but I won't go out of my way to make a trip.
