Beachcomber Lodge - Petersburg

It is a cool place to stay minus the basic hotel service amenities. No one answers the front desk phone, no laundry on site, no microwave or kitchenette in the rooms, no housekeeping staff around. It would’ve been very fun for just my husband and I but having a baby needing formula and toddler meals was difficult.

Really unique spot! We had a room towards the front of the resort, the layout was actually very nice and allowed for privacy right outside our patio/near a stairwell. Plenty of seating in the patio, a beautiful warm pool, and very attentive staff made it a place we will definitely return too! Only thing I would improve was allow for delivery from the restaurant/bar to our rooms.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and a very friendly gentleman, which made us feel welcomed. He was very informative and quickly had us checked in. Our room was clean but older. They are renovating some rooms right now and the main pool, which was our view for our trip. We loved the proximity to the beach and could see a peek of the beach from our walkway. They have coffee in the lobby, which was good, but it wasn’t working the last day of our stay so we walked across the street to the Dunkin for coffee. Glad it was close by.

The stay at the Beachcomber was fantastic! We will gladly book the hotel again. The staff is very friendly. The tiki bar is beautiful and the food is excellent. Currently the large pool is under renovation. The rooms are a little old but the beautiful surroundings and friendly people made up for everything. We had a very good night sleep. The beach is wonderful. Thank you for a great experience.

Very limited parking at this resort. Chances are you have to park around the block in a gravel lot. Rooms are fairly nice. Management at this establishment are terrible. The customer service provided at this resort from management was a disgrace. Not worth going to this resort in the long run. Pay the extra money to book at an adjacent resort. This resort also was not a safe environment.
