Bidrage med feedbackDO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS LOCATION. I ordered delivery off of Skip the Dishes at around 9:45 pm this Monday Sept 18th. Skip said delivery was available until 11pm. Was given a 22 minute wait time (very fast! . Driver got to the restaurant at 10:15. I waited until 10:40 before contacting Skip directly about why the driver would be waiting almost 30 minute for the order and if they could contact the driver directly. Shortly after, Skip gave me notification that the delivery driver said they had delivered the food and Harvey's said they were closed. I never got any order whatsoever I got my compensation from Skip the Dishes. As of 10:50 pm Harvey's was miraculously open again on Skip the Dishes. But this is clearly a matter of lazy workers. Don't trust this location.
The food is good. Many of the staff don't want to work here and it shows. The place has a good location near the waterfront with lots of green space surrounding the property. The property itself is poorly designed. The outdoor seating is between the parking lot and drive thru. The bathroom door lock doesn't unlock properly. The sign on the corner of the building makes a blind spot between pedestrians and drivers. My one order was delivered with the milkshake spilled and covering my food. My next order was cancelled on me after waiting 30 minutes and using a 50% off coupon. They refunded the food but didn't return my coupon. So I ordered again at full price. The milkshake they gave me was watery. The thinnest and smallest milkshake I've ever had. I won't be buying from here again until more of the staff gives a damn about anything that happens here. When you put paper straws in a steamy bag they soak up with meat and grease juices. They should start selling hot dog straws in beers I wreckon ;)Vegetarian options: They have plant based burgers for all you meat loving vegetarians. And buns.Parking: Dirty, dark at night. Poorly designed. Not safe at any time because of the lack of neighbors and a large drug using population centers nearby. Watch out for needles and people harassing you for money.Kid-friendliness: It's for adults mostly.Wheelchair accessibility: If the buttons work. Not easy even when they do because of the small entry points.
Went to pick up dinner tonight and was greeted by a very friendly young guy who was helpful and nice. While waiting for our food, this what appeared to be a homeless man. He came in and ordered a cheeseburger and set his change to pay on the counter, which the young man didn't see. When asked for payment, he said I paid, i saw the money sitting on the counter and said here it is and handed it to the guy. This younger girl comes storming from the corner carrying on about not having to legally serve him and grabs the money from the guy, puts it on the counter, and tells him to leave. I stepped in and said it was a misunderstanding and he wasn't in the wrong!! She ignored me and walked away said leave!! I'm actually disappointed and disgusted by the way she acted as clearly it was because he was not well off. Harvey's be better!!!!
By far the worst customer service anywhere in peterborough, owner really needs to look at his staff members. They all look miserable, and treat customers poorly. My passenger was holding a smoke out the window (we didn't see the sign), guy working the drive thru rudely tapped on the window point to the sign, we apologized and put the smoke out, as he continued to tap the glass about 5 more times, had to say 10 times it was out before he would open the window. Once window was open he was extremely ignorant, only speaking to tell me the total. When we said sorry, thank you, or anything he didn't speak a word or even look at us. Every single time I come to this location, the staff members look irritated and unhappy. Clearly I'm not the first person to think this. The only nice person I've met there thus far is the kid with the longer hair, he's always smiling and happy. Must be exhausting working with a bunch of miserable people. Think it's time the owner takes a good look at his employees. If you can't handle working in customer service, then don't.
I bought a chocolate shake and they charged me 50 cents extra for chocolate sauce the extra charge was not on the menu, and they didn’t tell me they were charging me extra, so I consider it stealing. It’s only fifty cents, but it’s the principle of it. And the shake was gluey and much too sweet. Disgusting all around. I won’t be going back.
