I have been a food review for 2 years now and never seen service and food so bad the atmosphere was ok the staff acted like they didn't wanna be there and the food was below average wouldn't feed it to a dog do not visit not worth money bad review all round
We’ve been going to Wimpy Peterborough for many years. It has been rebranded this will be the last time we go there. Overpriced and awful food. We always have the Wimpy Grill it was awful! They’ve changed the hot dog sausage. It was inedible. Such a shame as we used to look forward to going there. The staff are so surly not even a thank you when I paid £28+ for two meals and two drinks. Don’t think it will survive.
Rebranded and reimagined as a really bad greasy spoon They have changed the Wimpy name to Westgate Grill. The food though is now truly terrible. My 9 item breakfast had 8 items and all were literally swimming in grease. Left me with an upset stomach for the rest of the day. Truly dire and would rather eat out of bins than ever eat here again as mouldy bin food would be more nutritious and tasty than their stuff.
I have been a long-time patron of Wimpy and have always enjoyed my experiences there. However, in recent visits, I have noticed a decline in the service provided by one particular waitress. The brown-haired waitress who seems to be working every time we visit has become increasingly abrupt and rude. She rarely smiles or shows any signs of happiness, which is off-putting as a customer. I suspect that she may be a family member of the owners, allowing her to act this way without consequence. Nonetheless, her poor attitude is causing us to reconsider returning to the restaurant. I believe she could benefit from some additional training in customer service to prevent losing loyal customers.
