Bidrage med feedbackWent in at lunch time. Unfriendly barman. Bar full of swearing locals watching TV. Lounge area full of noisy dog owners and their dogs. Very unhygienic and dirty. Was going to eat but decided not to. Dogs and restaurants do not go together. Best leave this sort of pub to the locals. Outsiders obviously not welcome !!
Went to POW to meet friends from Sheffield for lunch, the food was as always absolutely delicious and plenty of it. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming, even to our canine friends. Would definitely recommend. Lots of others agree as there were lots of others in there too.
I organised a group of 13 to eat lunch here today. They are a fussy lot! Not a single complaint and a round of applause for Kay, the cook, who had popped out to see us. They even put a little paper place mat at each setting with our group name on it. A decent choice of menu, great price, well cooked, served hot. What more could you want? What about a well-kept pint of Adnams Broadside, as well as a choice of other great real ales? Other types of drinks, of course, are available! Very highly recommended. Our best pub/restaurant experience yet after three years of monthly meetings. Thanks, guys.
The perfect village pub: beautiful food, excellent service, a welcoming landlord and Charlie the dog. We WILL be back!
Today we went for our first meal out in 14 months. The Prince of Wales feathers in castor did not disappoint. We both had burgers and Oliver had cheesy chips. They were delicious. We travelled over 20 miles as the reviews were very good and we can see why. Definitely recommend a trip there for tasty food and welcoming hosts. We will be back ..... soon!!
