Bidrage med feedbackWe were surprised by the quality of the restaurant and the food was impressive. The restaurant is located upstairs and has lovely views across the Swan river. The food consists of a large selection of sushi, sashimi, and cold starters like seafood and salads. There are soups, hot dishes, hot seafood dishes and a nice selection of deserts and ice cream. So much to choose from!Service is good, with good quality tableware and furniture. We would recommend the restaurant to any couples or families.
The Laputa buffet ( Jap style) was a nice afternoon well spent on the Swan , the different varieties of dishes were well presented, we got our Groupon when the offer was on and the price was reasonable for the type of Japanese dishes that was offered. The magnificent view of the beautiful Swan river and foreshore along with a beautiful glimpse of Kings park made made a good blend for lunch .
Went there for lunch on Sunday and had a wonderful time thanks to the staffs, special mention for the Supervisor, Hank. There were only no more than 10 tables taken and the staffs never rushed us past the 1.5hrs.Staffs were quick to clear our dirty plates and even kindly went and got some requested dishes for my son as he was too short (and probably accident prone) to get some of the dishes.View was incredible and food selections were definitely better than I expected based on the reviews in TA.There's plenty of variety to cover those wanting seafood vs duck/chicken dishes.I was blown away by their desserts. It was not overly sweet which made it much more dangerous.I would say my favourite stations would be the DIY noodle station (udon, ramen, soba), seafood tea (wow! It's a must try!), sashimi and dessert bar.Only improvement I can suggest would be they need to consider introducing more sashimi selections. I think there's only 2-3 fish choices which I was hoping for more ... my friend would had like a more kids friendly sushi option which maybe the staffs can ask customers with kids if they'll like a special order. I can imagine more customers would not normally pay to eat plain boring sushi but they are great with kids :)You must try their Mio sparkling sake.. it was to die for.Overall, I'll be returning with my parents next round. Thanks Hank and his team for making my bday celebration a memorable one :)
After reviewing the menu online we booked a table for dinner due to the impressiveness of the variety. It was more expensive than we'd normally pay for a buffet but determined that going by the menu this was worth it. What we were presented with was nothing like the menu promised. We appreciate items are subject to availability but the only availability was fish. Even the noodles were seafood. As someone who is allergic to shellfish this meant there was barely anything I could actually eat. The vast list of chicken and beef dishes on the menu in reality is 2-3 of whatever they are making that day.I think this restaurant should just rebrand as a seafood buffet to avoid misleading customers in future. $68 for something you can't eat is beyond excessive.Even the chicken broth hot bowl on the table with ingredients of your choice is only fish ingredients. Overall extremely disappointing and overpriced for what a non fish eater can have.
We had lunch on one of the weekdays with scoopon deal and totally worth it. With nice view overlooking Swan river. Buffet has many things to choose and dessert section is lovely too. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and looking forward to come back for more!
