I normally opt for the cakes and coffees, but have also tried the waffles which are also tasty! Love the ambience of the place & environment. Great place to just relax and enjoy the food. Cakes are delicious but are on the dearer side for price for $14 a cake. Nice to finally have a new dessert place in Perth!
I have to say when they were planning to open this cafe I was pretty excited. When we came in on a Friday night although we were a little late, the place wasn't busy at all. The service was excellent and the staffs are good. We ordered ice chocolate, hot chocolate and coconut hot chocolate which are good. All the drinks come with the Guylian chocolate which is pretty nice. We ordered a couple of dessert to share. We ordered golden brownie, banana bread and dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake. The presentation of the food looks great and I think I would have liked my brownie warmed a little then it'll be perfect as it was a bit hard, but tasted nice. The cheesecake was a little bit more like a chocolate cake instead of cheesecake so it was a little different than our expectations. The banana bread on another hand is quite nice and fluffy. That night it was a little hit and miss for us but ambience wise it was a good place to chat and hang out with a few friends.
We were so excited to try out this new dessert place. I really like the interior decor and ambience of this cafe. There are a lot of dessert on display and it was really hard to decide which one to pick as they all look so pretty. We had the hazelnut pyramid and the dark chocolate cake. Both were fantastic and not overly sweet. I think having a coffee or tea instead of the chocolate based drinks really given that balance- not getting myself sugar overloaded and feeling sick. Overall, we were definitely be back. Staffs are friendly but service was a little bit slow and a bit pricey too.
Great to find a cafe open on the way back to the train station late at night. Beautiful ambience inside, lounge/jazz music and classy setting. Very quick and friendly service. My wife and I shared a waffle which was very tasty. The only real disappointment was that my Peppermint Hot Chocolate was cold to lukewarm, a cardinal sin for any cafe. Also very subtle peppermint taste. I was expecting something like the San Churros Azteca. Nevermind.
Heard about this from friends and thought to try it. We had the passion temptation and Guylian Bombe cakes. These were basically chocolate and white mousse cakes . Price is steep at $14 per cake. We had coffee too and that was really average . Overall it's worth trying once but for better chocolate go to Max Brenne, Koko Black and San Churros
