Perth Theatre Cafe - Perth Kinross

Very limited selection of food only sandwiches. The only hot food was soup. There were very few people in on a Saturday lunchtime so there was no atmosphere. It felt a little cold and grey. Staff were friendly when ordering at the counter.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a cold, wet, and windy day. The atmosphere was bright, warm, and the staff were very helpful and friendly, making it easy to order. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!

We were a group of 6 and all were quite pleased. Good variety. No issues. Service good and very helpful. We enjoyed it. Thank you.

We had booked a table for the pre theatre menu which is a set menu. £17 for 2 courses £25 for 3. We all chose the 2 course option. The starter of tomato stuffed with couscous was dry and tasteless. The Scottish vegetable stew was really just a thick soup with supposedly herb and horseradish dumplings (these turned out to be a true facsimile of Aunt Bessie's dumplings, with not a hint of herbs or horseradish). The cranachan was mainly cream and raspberries with only a hint of oats sprinkled on the top. Certainly not worth £17pp. The service was slow and non existent at times. When we sat down, there were already menus on the table. We sat for a good long while until we caught the attention of a passing waitress whose excuse for not coming to take our order was that she didn't realise we had menus, which begs the question, if she thought we didn't have menus, why didn't she bring them to us? One of the desserts failed to appear and when, again, we drew the attention of a waitress to this, she seemed puzzled and went off to get it. It took at least 10 minutes for it to come minus cutlery which we had to go and get for ourselves. Not the best experience and one we will not be repeating. The upside was that the venue was excellent, it's just a pity the food and staff let it down.

Prompt service and varied menu perfect pre panto meal with grandparents. Really good meal which we all enjoyed. Have recommended since to friends and family. Would visit again.
