Bidrage med feedbackVery attractive restaurant with many places to park nearby (all payable . We were greeted by the waiter who was friendly and we sat in the comfy reception area awaiting the arrival of our daughter. The dining room was spacious, the chairs comfortable and the table settings were impressive. The lunch menu was different to the one displayed outside but was varied with plenty of choice. The home made bread choice was a nice touch. We opted for the scallops which were rich and delicious. The presentation was spectacular with dry ice smoke over pebbles. Our daughter opted for the belly pork which was equally good. Mains was chicken served with lovely accompaniments and my husband had venison all yummy! Dessert was chocolate and honeycomb (I snaffled a piece from my daughter and it was to die for! and strawberry mousse served with fresh fruits and lime sorbet delicious. The bill with soft drinks was £90 which for the quality was very reasonable. We all said we would go back as we enjoyed the whole experience so much. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
Some seriously good food is presented with a bit of fun and whimsy. Perth is lucky to have such a talented chef in the region. The restaurant is in warm burgundy tones and features comfortable seating. My dining companion recommended the scallops. What a treat, perfectly cooked scallops presented on Asian influenced pork. I love scallops and this a very unique twist. It was presented on a large bowl of steaming stones. Totally unexpected but a fun bit of theatre. Mains was perfectly cooked venison and my friend had the duck. We would both order them again. Desert was strawberry creme brûlée. One of the best desserts I have had in the last ten years. Inventive version of the classic it was somehow creamy and crunchy. I would return just to have another one. My only regret is that I don’t live closer but I look forward to visiting Perthshire again to enjoy the food at Deans.
We were met at the door with a friendly welcome. The waitress helped my disabled husband to a nearby table. The restaurant was airy and attractively decorated. We had delicious bread and dips before our starters. It was so good we said we could have happily have lunched on just more of the same. However ,when the starters came , we soon changed our minds. The seafood on a bed of lettuce was delicious and beautifully presented. My main course was venison , as tender as could be , and the accompanying vegetables and sauce were full of flavour , with delicate hints of spices. I haven't enjoyed a lunch as much for a long time.
This was a really excellent evening. The restaurant was very busy but even so we managed to get our table changed when it was too hot to it by the radiator- thank you. The food was delicious and very well put together by the young chef owner. My husband raved about his scallop starter and my salmon and crab was exceptional. We have eaten in some of the best restaurants in London and also in The Peat Inn fairly recently. I think that the quality of the food on offer at Deans is comparable.
