Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant sits on the side of the mountain (on the left going towards Domenical about 10 minutes outside San Isidro central with a gorgeous view of San Isidro and the central, southern valley. This is a great place for couple to enjoy a romantic outing, celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a delicious meal. The service is outstanding. The owner Tony speaks English and is very helpful. Our waiter was attentive to our needs and the food is exceptional! My wife ordered the seafood platter which is enough food for 2 people. It comes with 3 types of fish, prepared 3 different ways.(whole tilapia fried, corvina fried in a light batterand swordfish baked with a typical seasoning Also, it has a seafood medley cooked in a garlic sauce , homemade fries, salad with a tasty dressing, bean dip with crema and pico de gallo. I enjoyed the seafood pasta house special(mariscos especial . It had several types of seafood(shrimp, fish , squid crab in a tasty typical sauce. All of the food was outstanding. My favorite was probably the lightly battered corvina, yes we shared . What made it memorable is you could just taste the freshness and it was not greasy at all! It tasted like it had just been caught that day with no after taste or unwanted, old fishy flavor. My wife 's favorite was the whole tilapia. It was outstanding too with a wonderful crispiness and unique whole fish flavor. But we enjoyed every part of the meal. It was all delicious including the sides. Typically, I do not like patacones (fried green plantain but these were flattened almost paper thin, and seasoned with a generous portion of salt. They were very tasty. Since it was my wife 's birthday we ordered the coconut flan which was delicious too! It tasted more like coconut pie with rum and or real vanilla mixed in. It was topped with a wonderful chocolate sauce. Our evening meal was the best I have eaten in Perez Zeledon and probably the best meal I have eaten in Costa Rica! We have lived here 3 years and visited the country annually for 20 years before that! The next day we returned and ordered lunch. My wife ordered a club sandwich and I ordered the pork chop casado. One again we were both extremely pleased with our selections. My pork chop was generous( thick(3/8-1/2 , large about 2x the normal CR size and juicy with typical falvors, It was served with salad , homemade fries, fried yucca beans, and rice. It was one of the best casados I have eaten. My wife 's club sandwich and her fries were delicious too! The food is reasonably priced. The menu is very diverse with seafood, steak, entrees, pasta , casados, sandwiches etc! We have found a new favorite place to eat! We will definitely be back! If you are visiting Perez, or especially if you live in the area you need to discover this hidden gem!
I have eating here numerous times both lunch and dinner on my own and with company. I not only appreciate that I feel valued but I have seen their attention to please all of their patrons. I have spoken to the owner and can say firsthand that I know he respects and supports the team effort it takes makes his establishment a favorite of mine.
My wife learned of this place from hotel staff and it turned out to be well worth the trip. We had seen several of these places--food, drink, and a view of the valley--on our way into Pérez Zeledón, but would not have know to go to this one. The view alone is worth the ride. Great place for a couple photos and the waiter seemed quite practiced with taking cell pics. Food was more than good enough. I highly recommend it.
We slept in the cabinas for two nights and enjoyed two nights of meals. The view from both the cabinas and the restaurant are spectacular. The food is excellent and the service exceptional. The owner, Tony is very personal and speaks both Spanish English. Adrian, one of the waiters also speaks both Spanish English and is very friendly. My husband I highly recommend both the cabinas restaurant
We've been eating here for years. Love the food. Prepared on a wood burning stove! The fruity drinks are a must too.
