Bidrage med feedbackGo straight to the bar and ask for Bryce...the tattoos and man bun guy at the bar...he makes THE best limeade margaritas on the island! I say skip the grand mariner and just do Cointreau and agave...extra limes... Then grab a menu and order the chips salsa and guacamole! I love the suicide nachos and I also love the quesadillas...come for brunch too as you won't be disappointed. This place is located on The Boardwalk so you'll have lots to do and see afterwards while walking off your awesome meal!
This is another place I heard good things about. They seem to be a bit short handed on the wait staff side of things. We waited awhile in between getting drinks and getting food. Also, I ordered margaritas and I swear to you there was no tequila in them. Me and a friend had to order shots of tequila to add to them. We werent charged for the shots so Im assuming it was because there was no tequila in our original margs. I had a mango shrimp salad and it was pretty good! I liked that it had some white rice on it to help it be more filling. I wish they gave more salsa for the chips and salsa in the beginning. We ran out pretty quickly. My friends whom I was with enjoyed their food. I would label this place as okay .
As far as Mexican food at Pensacola Beach, this is probably your best option (I am not sure if I saw any other options). I grew up in San Antonio and have a fairly high standard regarding Tex Mex. That being said, this isn't the best Mexican food I have had, but it is pretty good. I like the overall atmosphere (fairly clean for the beach) with a Tex Mex vibe. The staff was friendly and service was quick (though we were dining on a Sun at 2 pm). Entrees of the Mexican Salad with pulled chicken and the Grill Wrap with mahi were both good. I think the wrap had enough melted cheese and grilled onions that I could have eaten just about anything in there, but it was still enjoyable. Portions were decently sized and I thought prices were reasonable, especially for the tourist area. I haven't been to the original location in East Hill so I can't say how this compares, but for the location, price, and overall quality, I think this place is alright and worth another visit.
The adage is location, location, location . Tonight it was timing, timing, timing, and service, service, service. Stepped into Cactus Flower around 6 pm. Loud, raucous party going on in the bar across the patio (too early for food for them, I suppose . Fewer than half the tables were filled in the dining room. However, by the time we left, the place was full. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Within two minutes a server took our drink orders. And within another brief minute or two an additional server brought us complementary chips and delicious, chopped tomato with onion, garlic, and cilantro house made salsa. Our original server returned soon thereafter with our drinks and asked if we were ready to place our order. When we inquired about the Mahi Mahi fish tacos (with soft corn, soft flour, or hard flour tortillas the server politely offered to bring some of each (splitting the order to our liking. We finished about half the basket of chips and most of the salsa when a second server brought our entrees. This was probably the fastest service I 've ever had in a restaurant. Not rushed...just uber efficient. I also had the Mexican Salad an enormous, dressed up plate of fresh greens, lettuce, and romaine, topped with lime cilantro rice, seasoned black beans, lightly breaded and fried Mahi Mahi, plus pico de gallo. The plate also came adorned with a few taco chips on the edges of the plate. I asked for the slightly spicy Sante Fe dressing on the side (and used about half of it. Speed, efficiency, courteous service, and delightful, delectable Southern California Mexican style food. That 's a combination that could not be beat tonight.
Every time we come to Pensacola we eat here.... NEVER disappoints. The food is fresh, tasty, the service is fab. You can't go wrong
