Charly's - Pennington Gap

Country little restaurant simple and quaint with local pics and big windows right on main street. Enjoyed the fish tacos w breaded Cod and a side of breaded shrimp w raspberry tea. My friend had a classic hamburger and said it was very good too. Min Street was prepimg for the annual Tobacco festival held last Saturday of October so pumpkins and cornstarch were everywhere. Truly pleasant.

Walked into this cute lil gem in Pennington Gap. Very clean, the woman who waited on us was a sweetheart, and the food was great! We will be back.I had chef salad and cheesy potato soup. Yum ?

This was absolutely the most worse experience I ever had anywhere in life. I wish I could give a no star rating. I can't even tell you what my food tastes like cause we never got our food. There was only one couple waiting for food when we arrived and 4 other couples arrived about 10 mins after we ordered our simple Ham and Cheese sandwich, cheesesteak sandwich. After waiting 25 mins, the other people started to get their food before us, their had a bigger order than us. So after 45 mins total, no one come to say nothing about why we had no food yet. They proceed to give every other table there their food and still didn't bring us out simple Ham cheese sandwich, cheesesteak sandwich. What do you do when there is no service and no food plus u have already waited 45 mins. We just left!!. I will never ever return to this place again. Here is a warning, if you are hungry do go here cause you will wait ur life away and no one will come explain anything or ask if you are okParking: Charlys is located on a corner street. Watch for auto tips with this business on take out orders. Earn your tip people. Come on.

I hate to complain about a local restaurant, but they auto charged a 20% tip on a call in order. This was on the ticket and was not wrote in. They even had a line that says extra tip. So my $14 sandwich cost $18.87. Tips used to be earned now they expect it. Might as well just include it in the price of the meal! The tip was not earned, but they will not get it again. Sorry but I will not support you if you are stealing money from me. I’m sure that I am not the only one this happens to.
