Farons New Orleans Style Bbq

It's a small place where they make everything to order. and things can take a while to come out so be prepared. the ribs and meat are a bit from what we've traditionally had in tx and south so depends on your palette what you'll think of the place. it's worth a try just rec having a lot of time on your hands as it's not a place you rush an order thru.

Faron is currently in Mack's Bar in Penngrove. Just look for the bbq balloons! We are so glad we finally tried Faron's because it was amazing! Faron is super kind and gave us a history lesson on hush puppies. For a starter we had Hush puppies, they were delicious, the honey dipping sauce was finger licking good! We had the Jambalaya and smoked brisket and it was all super delicious!!! You have to go check him out.

Faron's has temporarily relocated to Mack's Bar and Grill at 10056 Main Street in Penngrove while they renovate their Petaluma location in June. My bride and I went there to try out Faron's BBQ. Feretta greeted us after we chose a table. And the regulars at Mack's made us feel welcome as well. Faron comp'd us for the hush puppies with a honey sauce. Killer good! We ordered a beer and a wine, and then ordered from the shortened menu. We ordered fried pickles (delicious), shared a plate of ribs (tasty and fall off the bone) with a chunk of great cornbread, a side of potato salad (also very good), they didn't have collard greens so we tried red beans and rice which was also good. The Sweet Potato Pie wasn't on the menu yet. We had fun talking to Faron who told us more about the food, and Walt from Mack's who told us about the live music (Southern Rock and Blues) coming up on Saturday June 9th. We gotta come back. Faron's greens and his sweet potato pie are calling to me. I have to see if they live up to their reputation! P.S. the price performance was outstanding too!! P.p.s. Parking was pretty good as wel.

*Bbq chicken w/ angel hair Mac n Cheese Baker beans *Smoked brisket w/ red beans rice collard greens They give you complimentary cornbread with their meals! Everything was so good!! We have been recommending this place to EVERYONE! I wish I could keep it a secret because I want it to myself but they deserve to be known far and wide! SO GOOD!!!

This is legit Nawlins style BBQ! I dragged hubby here to try some delicious mouthwatering BBQ that everyone in and around P-town have been raving about. Thank you Yelpers, without you one would never drive to this side of Petaluma, and find such a hidden gem near a liquor store. Chef Faron is da man! I usually don 't trust a skinny Chef, but Faron is an exception LOL! I hear he 's moving his location to Penngrove, well wherever he goes, I will follow. I love Penngrove, and Cotati, and Rohnert Park kind of. This surrounding area is nostalgic for me, as I first met hubby in the (707) on our first date to watch our first movie Training Day! My oh my, how this area has changed and for the better. I can 't wait to see what comes out of Faron 's kitchen next. 'Til we meet again Laissez les bon temps rouler!
