Bidrage med feedbackWe went to this restaurant following TripAdvisor recommendation and were absolutely delighted by our choice! The food was simple but fresh and very tasty, the service very friendly despite the seasonal crowd, and the overall atmosphere traditional with a touch of modernism. We recommend for couples as well as families.
I went there for and wanted to have lunch. It was a beautiful day and I asked if I could sit outside. The waiter said and I sat down. After a certain he came again and said he would bring the menu in 2 minutes. After another 10 to 12 minutes I walked out! I am not willing to wait more the 15 minutes before I get the menu.
On the last a of our two-week-stay in Brittany we decided to have a nice dinner in a typical restaurant. My parents both had the fisherman´s plate as a starter, which was quite big and fair for its price. My boyfriend and I had the crusted goatcheese which tasted very good on a bit poor looking bed of salad. For main course we all had different dishes from duck over a variety of fish to porc in a fine tasting sauce of salted caramel and a very good medium roasted beaf, that came on a special spit. Three of us had the warm chocolate cake topped with vanilla sauce. I had the mascarpone cream that was a bit to jelly for my taste topped with a peanut-chocolate layer, that was pretty fine. All in all we had a nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere. As it was a very rainy day and the season had not started yet we were the only guests next to a french couple what made the clime a bit strange. I can recommend the restaurant as the quality of all products was really good and fresh, but I would try another restaurant next time.
We were planning to eat at La Voilerie based on Trip Advisor recommendations but it was closed and so we went to this nearby stop very close to the lighthouse. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the oysters were among the best that we had in Brittany, the local Muscadet was excellent and the service was very good. Hard to beat in the area.
It may have been an off night as our niece and nephew had enjoyed lunch there so much that they brought us for there for dinner a few days later. Five of us had the moules frites. The flavor was good, but the broth was very salty, so I was unable to eat it with the mussels. It appears that I also had the unlucky pot because many of the mussels were closed and had to be discarded. We have had some incredibly delicious frites in the area and these were were just average. My niece had a very nice piece of cod which she said was tasty. When they went for lunch, they had the enormous gambas on a skewer that they raved about, so maybe the other menu items are a better choice than the mussels. It is conveniently located near the lighthouse.
