Bidrage med feedbackThe map location is incorrect, this restaurant is located on Armenian Street. There is no air conditioning, and the front of the restaurant is open to the street. The food was not good at all, which was very disappointing. I ordered the turmeric rice which was bland, and the noodle soup dish (I believe it was Asam Laksa) had soggy noodles and sad toppings. Another noodle dish I ordered was also disappointing. The only thing I liked was the loh bak. I would recommend trying the sister restaurant Yun Shan Ge, as it is much better.
After reading the other reviews, I had to try the Assam Laksa for myself, and it was not disappointed. Really tasteful and a really beautiful spice level. I also had muscat juice, which was delicious, both for RM17.
We ordered the tonepot rice, Rendang with rice and Llorbak. The Rendang was really delicious, but it came with only 5 small pieces of potatoes and 1 mushroom! The clay pot itself was small and tasteless. The lorbak was the best item we ordered and we would recommend this a snack if you are in the area and want to try it. But with all the amazing vegan options around Penang, we would personally not recommend this place for anything else.
Quick and friendly service. It’s in a very touristy strip, so the prices are slightly higher than what you can get elsewhere, but it’s still really cheap. I got the laksa noodles for 8 RM it was delicious! They also sell bottles of juice and coffee.
I came across this place by accident, as I was wandering around this area on the hunt for the street art. It was a really cute little spot, perfect for refuelling in the heat and people watching. I had the Special of the Day which was a delicious curry with brown rice and the Nutmeg juice (definitely try this it's home made!! . Portions were good sizes. The lady was very friendly.
