First Watch - Pecq Le

I ordered the trifecta. My waffle was great, but the eggs were so bland. They tasted like the cardboard box they were in. I got a link pork sausage and it was undercooked, and pink in the middle. I had to throw it away. Also, the lady doing takeout was rude. The best thing was the waffle.

Enjoyed First Watch in February at Asheville, NC. Back home in Durham and could not wait to take the wife and grandson. Bad mistake. 3 breakfast orders and juices. $80 breakfast. 2 orders were delivered but my Trifecta was not. Server finally checked in with us and I asked about my food. It was really already too late. Wife and grandson had finished 75% of their breakfast. Manager brought out my Trifecta with slimy undercooked eggs and a soggy waffle (clearly rushed), apologized and said there would be a discount. I mopped up my food, I guess just because it was there and I did not want to make a big scene. Waitress delivered the ticket and we had $5.00 discount. Really? I did not get to enjoy a breakfast with my family. Then they had to wait for me while I mopped up my slop. There are plenty of good breakfast places in Durham and I think they would all treat me better than that.

I am French. I came to First Watch while on a business trip to Durham on my own. I LOVED the place! The food is very good, the juices are great, the people are nice. This is stupid to say, but the level of the table/chair makes it comfortable to eat, unlike many other places I came in Durham.It's the closest I have found to brunch places I go to when I'm home. It was really heart-warming for me as a brunch experience. I could take my time to eat, I didn't feel pressure from the restaurant to quickly finish my food, pay and leave. I felt welcomed.By the way, it is also a very inclusive place, which I love as well.Keep going, First Watch!

Anytime we come to NC, we visit this First Watch. But today Brenna was amazing and super friendly. She was knowledgeable and told us how to order what we wanted and get the most out of our meal. Thx Bre for your awesome service.
