Bidrage med feedbackAlways great! We love to make a meal more or less sharp for us.
This local restaurant offers a convenient 15-minute pickup service and features a diverse menu exclusively focused on Oriental cuisine. The staff is friendly, and the establishment is family-owned, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
The spring rolls were well-cooked, though they were a bit mushy inside, but they had great flavor. The sesame chicken was excellent; the chicken was tender and juicy, without the overcooked, overly sauced quality that you often find at other Chinese places. Golden House got it just right! The lo mein was loaded with meat and had a touch of richness, but the meat, especially the shrimp, was cooked perfectly. The garlic chicken was nicely seasoned, not too spicy, but still flavorful. Once again, the chicken was moist and well-prepared. We ordered both chicken dishes as combinations, which came with rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was crispy and had a good taste, though it could have been a bit crisper. The rice wasn’t oily, and the vegetables in it were perfectly steamed—absolutely delicious. Yes, this is an American Chinese restaurant and not authentic Chinese cuisine. While some may be critical of that, I believe it's exactly what a Chinese takeout restaurant should be! Overall, we really enjoyed the food and will definitely order from here again, especially since it’s family-run. I hope they continue to be around for a long time.
When we left the city, we were concerned about missing our favorite Chinese food, but we quickly discovered Golden House. This local, family-run gem offers a friendly atmosphere and excellent service. We often call to place orders or provide feedback, and we always receive a warm response, even for take-out. We were delighted to see that they’ve made improvements to our favorite dishes. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and fosters a culture of hospitality. If you’re looking for a recommendation, the Chicken with Black Bean Sauce (#74) is the best we’ve ever had. Pair it with some pork dumplings and spring rolls, and you’re all set for a great meal. We’re so glad they’re in our community! - Sandy
