Ulb caffe is highly recommended for fusion, Western, and Mexican dining. The Greek owner Joe is super friendly, welcoming, and informative. Even if the food wasn't great, I would still recommend going there just to meet Joe. Luckily, they have Joe and fantastic food! Joe loves to create and present dishes, and customers enjoy a wonderful array of flavors. He even mentioned that if I wanted something off the menu, I could let him know and he would try to accommodate. However, I was happy to try the delicious looking items already on the menu. They offer the option to replace any meat or seafood item with vegan duck, vegan burgers, or soy substitutes. This review is for the Phratamnak Caffe, as they have another location in Jomtien run by Joe's wife. They cook with fresh ingredients, some of which are organic. The caffe is cozy with seating for approximately 18 people, including terrace seating. I tried the vegan burger with fries and it was fantastic. The variety of flavors was amazing! I'm not a fan of white flour buns, so Joe kindly served the burger in a tortilla dish with fresh vegetables, crumbles, and sauces - delicious and definitely one of the best I've had! The fries were frozen, which I don't prefer, but they were very good and seasoned well with healthy coconut oil. I also tried the superfood smoothie, which was large, thick, and packed with fruit, almond milk, and a green superfood mix - truly amazing! They also offer a variety of other dishes such as street-style tacos, grilled chicken rolls, and superfood breakfast options. Overall, a great dining experience at ulb caffe.
