Bidrage med feedbackWe decided to try the thali, priced at 250 baht, which is considered high for a vegetarian thali. In Pattaya, most Indian restaurants offer thalis between 130-240 baht. The thali at Tanatan included 4 rotis, 2 veggie dishes, 1 dal, rice, salad, and papad. However, the dishes were too spicy despite our request for no spice. The portion sizes were small, with some dishes barely filling four spoons. The rice was overcooked and clumpy, while the rotis were bland. We left hungry and disappointed. They also had a Tanatan special on the menu for 450 baht, which included roti, 3 sweet dishes, dal, rice, salad, papad, dessert, buttermilk, and a sweet drink. Prices for other items ranged from 20 baht for water to 200 baht for paneer dishes. Overall, the experience at Tanatan Gujarati was underwhelming and we would not recommend it. There are plenty of better Indian restaurant options in Pattaya to try instead.
Tanatan Gujarati Food is a vegetarian Indian restaurant located on Paratamnak Road in Banglam, just two blocks south of South Pattaya Road. They offer Thali meals with clean, air-conditioned seating for 16 people and good service. The menus do not have photos, so it may be difficult to choose dishes unless you are familiar with Indian cuisine. They do have pictures of some items pinned to the wall. The pricing is varied, with some items priced high and others at a more normal level for Indian restaurants in Pattaya. We opted for the Thali at 250B each, which is on the higher end compared to other restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were very small and some dishes were too spicy despite requesting no spice. The rice was overcooked, the roti undercooked, and we left the restaurant still hungry. They also offer a Tanatan Special for 450B, which includes a variety of dishes. Overall, the pricing for items on the menu ranged from 20B for water to 200B for paneer dishes. We were not satisfied with our experience at Tanatan Gujarati Food and would recommend trying another Indian restaurant in Pattaya. They are open from 11am to 11:45pm.
We decided to try their Thali for 250 baht, which is considered expensive compared to other Indian restaurants in Pattaya. The Thali included 4 roti, 2 veggie dishes, 1 Dal, rice, salad, and papad, but no yogurt. Unfortunately, despite requesting no spices, some dishes were too spicy to enjoy. The portions were small, with some dishes only containing a few spoonfuls. The quality of the rice and roti was disappointing. The restaurant also offers a special Tanatan Thali for 450 baht, which includes more items like sweet, farsan, and buttermilk or lassi. Prices for other items on the menu range from 20 to 200 baht. Overall, our experience at Tanatan Gujarati Food was not great, and we recommend trying other Indian restaurants in the area. They are open from 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
