A Pergola Chez Roger - Patrimonio

Excellent quality Corsican dishes with a great view over the valley. Roger is a fine host Great value and great wines to accompany the dishes

We, four of us, ate at Chez Roger twice, the first time we had a local soup, vegetable and ham, which was excellent full of fresh ingredients and flavour, with a local wine. the next time we visited we had a bouillabaisse which Roger created, it contained about fourteen different fish and was excellent, this was a soup to start with the fish as a main course accompanied again by local wines and Eau de vie to finish. We were made to feel welcome and greeted like old friends the second time. I would have no qualms in recommending this restaurant to anybody. This last meal was a special so was a bit more expensive, but the other meal was no0 ore expensive than other local restaurants.

We stayed in Patrimonio last week and visited A Pergola Chez Roger a few times. On 2 occasions we ate at the restaurant and at other times we just went for a drink. The food was very good and reasonable in price. The owner, Roger, is a character who makes you feel very welcome and the other staff were also very nice. The outside seats are under a lovely pergola with views down the valley. If you are in this area you should look out for this restaurant/bar
