Innsteg Gastronomie - Passau

The title means everything. Don't go there first if you don't have a reservation. They gonna put you in the freezing cold garden. We were there with our 3 year old daughter and we asked if a table is free, please advise us asap. They...were at least 3 tables free inside during the time we were there and they Never ask us to go upstairs. Very bad experience but great food. If you are a tourist please don't go there. That's my opinion.

I avoid writing a negative review. I have many good reasons for doing so. First of all, it may have been a bad day for the people that work there or I may have been in a bad mood so anything might make me feel...uncomfortable. The place may already have regular customers locals that like to have their food watching the Inn river and the scenery. And this is ok. Same also for tourists that after strolling in the city want to enjoy their beer. This means that there will always be lots of customers happy to accept basic level of service. But at some point people (and especially local or regular customers) will start seeing that the value is not as high and while the food is OK, the service is not as good. So why not fix and improve service before things get really bad?...

The Innsteg is right by the Inn river before it meets up with the Danube), with tables outside on the patio area with great views overlooking the embankment and river. There is also a conservatory type area and the main restaurant itself with lovely...views from many of the tables.We went early on a Sunday evening because we hadn't booked the staff can speak English and were really efficient, friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was superb we had zucchini schnitzel and schweineschnitzel) and they have a good wine list and all reasonably priced. Very pleasant experience.

I haven't been there for a long time, and deshab is all the more surprised to have such a nice, friendly, in front of the place to act early. beautiful local, very beautiful operation, which I regret to lead these many steps into the garden, and the breakfast surpassed my expectations. lovingly dressed, all served fresh and fast. when I have to feed gluten-free, I brought my rolls myself.
