Paul Martin's American Grill - Pasadena

My husband and I booked a table for Xmas Eve. We had an amazing dinner with a great atmosphere. Agustina was our server and she was excellent! I have been traveling the country for work and as an Argentinian native I’m always looking for a good Argentinian restaurant and have to say that the meat parrillada was one of the best I ever had in USA. We will definitely go back for more authentic and delicious Argentinian food

Brandon the bartender was wonderful. Engaging, personable and efficient. Steak and chimichurri were fantastic.

Party of two arrived at 620 for 630 reservation. No one seated us for about 10 minutes letting us stand by the cold door even though the GM acknowledged us. The hostess came out apologized, asked our reservation name and do some convoluted lookup on her iPad. Then forgot our name! We finally got seated then an old waiter (assume experienced) came where we said this is our first time and ask for his opinion on what to select and none was given. Services were generally slow and poor, food was borderline adequate for the prices, feel like a fast food instead of $160 fine dining. Never come back.

The grill items were good, but the short ribs were tuff. The banuelos were hard and difficult to eat. The service was ext, our waitress provided excellent service.

The service was very slow. It was 30 minutes before we got our drink order. French fries were undercooked.
