Madeline Garden Bistro Venue - Pasadena

I have to give a 5 star for the management especially Kevin, who made my reservation amazing by upgrading my guest n I to the VIP room! They had a party reserved in the grand room with only outdoor seatings available on a scorching day. Since it’s my 1st at Madeline’s, we ordered the Traditional European tea set. I totally recommend the ginger yam soup, the salad was yummy the mini scones was super delicious! The European was a bit disappointing as the bottom tier was basically Dimsum! Hopefully you can replace them with sandwiches mini cakes…. The tea selection was great! Will definitely be back, hope we can enjoy the grand room then. Thank you Kevin, Tutu Madeline Garden, for making my birthday an amazing one!

Food was very overpriced. Got the eggs benedict: eggs came out cold, croissant was stale, amount of scalloped potatoes was hilarious for $43. Service was terrible: it took an hour to get our food (there was one other table when we got there), and they brought it out one plate at a time with ten or so minutes in between each person 's meal being delivered because they wanted to bring it out hot ... which it was not. At all. The person who got the quiche said it was pretty good. Otherwise, ambiance is great and the rest is awful and should be avoided. I wanted to love it but alas...

Fantastic place. Love the harp. Would recommend eggs Benedict without a croissant.

Beware the 15% Service Charge on top of the $68 European Tea which does not include the tip for the very pleasant server that disappeared for 20 -30 minutes at a time.

We were looking forward to having high tea at the restaurant. We were seated quickly at a very small table. The drinks went on the windowsill to make room for the food. The waiter was very short and unhelpful when ordering. It was like we were wasting his time asking questions. The tea came out quickly, as did the salads and tiny scones. However, we waited about 45 minutes for the rest of our meal. When I asked the waiter how much longer, he yelled that it was coming. Most of the food came, but we waited about 10 minutes for the remaining appetizers. The waiter never checked back to see if we needed anything. The only thing that came quickly was the check.
