Bidrage med feedbackMy coworkers and I frequented this place often and we were discouraged to find that the place had closed and there is a sign on the door that a management will be taking over soon. Who knows what this means! The pho and food were good, service is quick to get your order and usually quick to bring your food but they were not quick to come back to your table if you needed anything and getting the check took some effort. Who knows why they closed but they are missed.
Well well well...im back here again. Which means i have to give this place a review lol Saigon Pho is well known for its *drum roll* of course..their Pho. For some reason, although Pho is not high atop my list of go to food, it seems almost tempting to order it every time we come here. Is it the meat? The vermicelli? The broth? Probably everything. The soup is always done fresh making the slurping very enjoyable. I love that it serves family style or ala carte. My favorites here are the Bo Luc Lac (shaky beef) and their lemon grass chicken. The beef is marinated to perfection and meat is tender to eat. A must try if you're here. The lemongrass chicken is a little on the spicy side but very refreshing along with the mix of bell peppers. If you're into grilled pork, you'll be surprised with the ones here too hopefully in a good way. It's a little sweeter maybe but still good. Brought my family here and they love it. Saigon Pho is also one of the few places mu hubster likes to go back to. So yup! Will recommend this place.
My mom wanted to try a new restaurant for her birthday dinner, so we paid a visit to Saigon Pho. I was a little concerned at the lack of people dining in the restaurant, especially since no one was Asian. But it wasn't a bad thing, because the food turned out OK. Service was a little slow, and the food came out staggered instead of all at once. We weren't all able to eat at the same time. I got to try their fried rice, summer rolls, pork meatball bahn mi, and Pho Saigon Deluxe. The fried rice was...wet. It did not have the right texture. The summer rolls had shrimp and pork in them, but the amounts were so negligible that you could barely taste them. The bahn mi had the traditional ingredients, but was a little understuffed. I have definitely had better. The Pho Saigon Deluxe was actually a good bowl of pho. It had a lot of different cuts of beef and the large bowl was very filling for the price. The rare beef topping was actually rare and not overcooked too. It's not bad, but it's nothing I would go out of the way for either.
This is my go-to Pho place hands down. AND...it's like one for the two that are in the morris County area, I think. I love the Pho with the grilled pork chops on the side. It's hearty, great non oily flavor, unlike other pho broths from other places. The bubble tea is it that great.
Overall I did enjoy my visit to this establishment. I would have given it four stars but I was a little disappointed that I had to ask the staff for something 3 different times before receiving the item and I didn't like the smart rare that was made the gentleman that may have been the head manager. The pho broth was very flavorful and very filling. I like that it tasted very fresh and light but still packed a nice punch. I had the pork chop pho which was absolutely yummy. The pork didn't taste frozen or over cooked. I was very surprised that it was barbecued flavor but it worked really well. Advice: if you go in a group and you all get pho they are going to put all of you accompanying items on the same plate. This for me was a problem because I am cautious about eating after people.... germs are real. I had to ask them 3 times for my own dish and sides before I got it. To Manger went as far as to say you should have told us before we brought this one out. To which I responded this is my first time here and you assumed that I would be ok with eating from the same plate as someone else
