Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant in Sydney is a hidden gem. It offers a unique twist on traditional Chinese cuisine, rather than classic Hong Kong dishes. The restaurant may be straightforward in decor, but this does not take away from the delicious food. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. While you can opt for the familiar Hong Kong style dishes, I recommend trying something new from the photo book menu. I particularly enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken, shredded pork in red bean paste with cucumber on a homemade pancake, and the special fried rice. With $50 in your wallet, you can enjoy a meal with a beer and wine without breaking the bank. Overall, I have no complaints - bon appétit!
Chef Ding Restaurant in Parramatta, now known as Ling Chinese, is a hidden gem that never disappoints. Despite the name change, the food remains delicious, plentiful, and affordable. Located on the edge of Parramatta CBD, this restaurant stands out in an area with mediocre dining options. The décor and wine list may not be fancy, but the service is efficient and the food is quick to arrive and flavorful. Some standout dishes include the Beef Bone Soup, Schezuan-style Eggplant, Pork and Tofu hotpot, and green beans in aged Tofu sauce. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes that are sure to please. We highly recommend this authentic and budget-friendly Asian eatery in Parramatta.
This place is one of Sydney's best kept secrets. The food is not your simple HONG KONG Chinese food, but more of a traditional Chinese food experience. The restaurant is basic, but make no mistakes it dosen't detract from the food. The pricing is excellent and the portions are huge. There is an option to have your HK style Chinese food, however take my advice get the photo book menu and try something different. My current recommendation is the salt and pepper chicken, shredded port in red bean paste which is eaten with cucumber on a home made pancake and the special fried rice. You will come home with change if you have $50 in your wallet and thank includes a beer and a wine. No complaints from me, bon appetite...........
It is always a good sight to see a Chinese Restaurant where we are the only non-Chinese people eating. This is the Chef Ding Restaurant in Parramatta. We have eaten here about 20 times and have never been disappointed. Given that we live a 3 hour drive away that should tell you something. It has recently had a name change to Ling Chinese – but although the ownership may have changed the food is decent, cheap, plentiful and delicious. The restaurant is located on the edge of the Parramatta CBD, directly opposite the “Golden Arches” and is a gem in an otherwise luke-warm eating area. There is nothing fancy about the décor, seating or wine list. The service is extremely efficient and the food is quick to arrive, hot and oh, so very tasty. Some of our favourites are Beef Bone Soup (please do not order one soup bowl each – the serve is massive – enough to be shared among 4 people) a gelatinous tasty mix of bone, beef and stock. And yes, it is perfectly ok to use your fingers and lick them afterwards! The Schezuan style eggplant is a sticky coated spicy dish that delights the taste buds. Pork and Tofu hotpot – oh yummy. We also enjoy the green beans in aged Tofu sauce and all of the varieties of Pancake, particularly the Pork and Sweet Bean Pancake. The menu is very extensive almost impossible to eat your way through it all.We thoroughly recommend this wonderful Asian eatery in Parramatta. It is authentic and inexpensive.
Disgusting!! Don't do it. They are the most feral, rude, undeserving restauranters on the planet. Tables covered in the muck left by previous people long
