Lupe's Mexican

We have gone to Lupe's often for Mexican food and love it. But I decided to try their hamburger, WOW! It is the best and the fries are exceptional. The service is always the best. We can not recommend them enough.

I was in town visiting family at Grand Lake of The Cherokees and taking in the Bassmasters Classic when I discovered this place. It was a small cozy place and the service was just delightful. A great authentic Mexican restaurant and the quesadillas are my pick.

Truck Stop quality Mexican food.If their enchilada/red sauce is not straight from a can, then they put a lot of effort in making a sauce that tastes like it came straight from the can. Same for the refried beans. Then there was the rubbery wind it up on your fork cheese. Even though the plates had been under the broiler to give it a good melt it was still rubbery. It was an hour and half until closing time and they were out of the hot salsa. The mild salsa is heavy on the garlic. Very good service from the friendly wait staff. I am not going to bother with the details of our meals…everything was average at best.If your car has broken down here then eat here, otherwise go to downtown Grove to eat Mexican food. We have now tried all of the Mexican restaurants in Grove and this one shakes out at the bottom.If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection Jalapeno Highway on Yelp. So good. Been searching for a place just like this. Very comparable to the Mexican fair in California where I'm from.
