Hippo Bastille Paris 4E

Paid two evening visits both were very good. Food is a mixture of French and Italian with steaks and burgers thrown in. Food was excellent if not over large portions. Service was very good English nicely spoken here. Good view of funky stuff going on outside. Child friendly

I met some friends here and we all had a drink on the terrace. This is part of a large franchise of steak restaurants, usually located at crossroads, like this. Food is supposed to be OK.

We wandered in after seeing the burgers through the window, they looked great however we were quickly disappointed as the food was some of the worst we have had in a long time! My partner had the steakhouse burger and I had the original burger with a vegetarian patty and both were absolutely awful in terms of flavour and texture. Even the chips were completely bland. to top it off the toilets were disgusting. We would not recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Quite nice place actually, space between tables. Service might be a little slow but good quality of meet and fair fixed menu. It worth the money spent and afterwards we were quite full

Disons le franchement... aller manger dans un restaurant de chaînes, on est certain qu'il n'y aura pas de grandes originalités... mais on est certain également de ne pas avoir vraiment de mauvaises surprises. La carte est commune à beaucoup d'autres restaurant "hippo". La nourriture était très correcte ainsi que les cocktails en apéritif. Alors pourquoi suis-je si généreux avec le score maximum? Parce que le cadre de ce restaurant change par rapport à d'autres hippo et ça apporte tout de même une touche qui mérite une note plus élevée que la moyenne et notre serveuse était super sympa et agréable... et pas qu'avec nous! Un monsieur japonais était assis à une table toute proche, elle a tenté de lui expliquer en prenant le temps nécessaire et en étant toujours souriante, les subtilités du menu. Chapeau à elle et in fine... très bon moment dans ce restaurant.
