Bidrage med feedbackEverything was perfect. We were very satisfied. Servis was excellent. Very good vine. For me a dream to eat in Ritz.
L'Espadon is one of the finest restaurants in Paris or anywhere. It is on the ground floor of the hotel and has about tables. My wife and I have had dinner there on New Year's Eve every year since (except for the...couple years when the hotel was being renovated). On other occasions the meals are also splendid though on New Year's Eve, there is also a small group of musicians for music during the meal and then dancing afterwards. There is a wine pairing for each course, starting with a fine champagne and ending with a dessert wine (like chateau d'Yquem followed by an old Port wine. years ago the Port wine was from a century bottle: To add a bit of humor, I asked the waitress (in French) words to the effect: Ain't you got anything older? She said not tonight, but added that the Ritz did have older ports as we discovered this past December, when the head sommelier took us down below to the vast wine cellar where there were still a few Port wines from the The appetizers, main courses, desserts, and amuse-bouches in between, plus the breads are all sumptuous and perfect as is the service.
You must say this is always an experiençe the Ritz. For lunch the garden of the espadon offers a beautiful map with reasonable menus. On the other hand, having chosen the three signatures of the chef I admit to be a little on my hunger....It is good, but without more, lack of flavor and madness. On the other hand, an extra service, the staff is perfect.Very beautiful wine map......for big budget. An experience to live but less for the culinary side than for the place...mystical
At the Ritz you expect everything to be perfect. It certainly wasn't. The outdoor 1 star Michelin is right next to the terrace of the bar of the hotel. Right next to the restaurant tables was a large table with about 8 or 10 people having drinks and extremely noisy. People at 2 of the restaurant tables ask to be relocated as the noise was very annoying. This is not what you expect in one of the most classy addresses in Paris. The service was very ordinary, perhaps still not operational due to the recent reopening. Most of the dishes were excessively fussy with too many ingredients that didn't work well together hence lacked in balance. It was as if the chef was trying too hard to impress or to experiment on the unfortunate customers. Considering the very high prices it was definitely not value for money. We left extremely disappointed.
I had made myself a joy of browning back, to the ritz !!!! quality of brunch to the top thanks to the chief, but very disappointed of the service that was very approximate, of the reception just as in the end. It was really not terrible, the first time it was perfect there were only 2 tables to serve. However for my last visit there were more people, so we were in total forgetting until the locker room we waited 20 minutes. Thank you for this moment, go back to stress without having appreciated anything.
