Hippotamus - Paris 19e Arrondissement

Service was good but the cost of the food for the quality left a little to be desired. I ordered the fish and chips and my partner ordered the steak. His steak had to be sent back as he asked for it well done and it came medium. The fish could only be described as frozen fish out of a box. The deserts were basic. My partners steak was good though once it was cooked through. The staff were so friendly.

Family of ten from America enjoyed it very much. Good beer, good burgers and steak and chicken. Why do I have to write 100 characters? I just said this place is good. Ridiculous

We've eaten cheeseburgers and the bigger (XL) for +5 eur was the same. Avareg food small dishes. Overpriced. The cheeseburger won't be bad for 9.99 EUR instead of 17...

Been here 1 time and it was for sure my last time, I 'ev been eating in restaurant for more than 10years, but this it is the first time i send the food back, I ordered a steak medium-rare, i received it extrimely over cooked, with some unsalted frenchfries and even the steak was not seasoned at all. When i called the service and tell them , the waiter told me you have walt on the table which it is extremely rude and does not solve the problem, after I send it back i had to wait more than 30 minutes to get something, and yet the steak was not great, but eatable and the frenchfries still not seasoned. And the cherry on top? it is extrimely expencise for being a steakhouse. I am not sure how this restaurant still open.

The reception is nice. We arrived at 12 o'clock and didn't have too much waiting to be served. The child menu has been forgotten by this fact our daughter has eaten after everyone, but the staff is commercial since the menu has been offered to us. The meat is excellent.
