Bidrage med feedbackDistrict 13 is known to have a bunch of Vietnamese food and with that, folks who can speak Vietnamese and make authentic Vietnamese food. Had one last night in Paris with my family (A Vietnamese family and was hungry. Decided to go this restaurant and we should’ve saw the warning signs... Speaking to our waiter, he spoke Vietnamese but couldn’t definitely tell us what he would recommended us to get. (Warning #1 I eventually ordered a cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee and com bi suon cha (rice with egg omelet and grilled pork which wasn’t listed on the menu but a picture of the dish is shown on the menu under “rice” . Now, traditionally when you order cafe sua da it’s all done in layers. Condensed milk in places as a layer on the bottom of the glass followed by ice then you pour in the strong coffee. Serve to your patrons and have them mix the concoction together. The color is suppose to be a dark mocha color. Now when I got my drink, to my surprise the entire drink is already mixed together and looks like pure milk with a slight hint of tan. (Warning #2 . Immediately asked if they could add more coffee as the concoction literally tasted like pure watered condensed milk syrup. The waiter agreed to add more coffee but when he returned it back again, he had just added a few additional drops of coffee. I absolutely was appalled that he would serve something like this and my family was already getting disappointed. Now when my meal was coming out, the female from the kitchen decided to take over and she knew my family was not satisfied. The dish she first gave me was absolutely the wrong dish (warning #3 and got mad at the first server for messing up. Then my ACTUAL dish came out and it was a decent dish (like a 4/10 . After I was served, the two waiters went around the corner and began to argue very loudly in Chinese. (Warning #4 I had to leave because I couldn’t take the service anymore.
I really like this place. Their grilled food with rice so good. Grilled porc with rice, or prawn wrap with beef. Various food so my hubby have noodles and me rice :
This place has fresh and great tasting indochinese food. What was especially great were the pork meat balls and vermicelli noodles in which you can make a taco out of using rice paper. Delicious!!
