Excellent Spanish food restaurant in Panama City. Highly recommended.

We were walking around Panama City and were heading back to our hotel. We decided to find a place for a small bite. We walked by Casa de Alejandro and thought what the heck let’s try it. It was obviously popular with locals the place was packed. No one spoke English but we managed to order a light lunch and wine. It was outstanding!

Tucked away in the financial district, this is a GREAT authentic Spanish (Spain) restaurant. Remember they are also post-pandemic and may not be able to get their full menu ingredients (true everywhere). Be patient and open-minded and you'll have a great meal. We had grilled shrimp and came back the night before we left Panama for their paella. Both were divine. Definitely worth the trip.

We went for lunch today to one of our favorites which we had not gone in many months because of the pandemia. We are happy to report it is as good as ever, and they have refurbished it and the food is as good as it has always been. They have an extensive menu of typical Spanish foods, all of high quality. Can recommend this small restaurant. Always try and make reservations as there are not many tables and it gets filled.
