Sameer Classic - Palolem

Sameer Classic is an excellent restaurant offering a variety of Indian cuisine. There is a large selection. Service is quick and the staff are friendly. They offer free wifi and have a large selection of pancakes and deserts for pudding. Come expecting authentic Indian dishes cooked to perfection.

Sameer Classic is nice cafe beach shack from Palolem. We had sea food which was very tasty. I like the taste and their warm service.

I have been working my way along Palolem's Main Road restaurants, and tonight it was the turn of Sameer Classic. I have never understood why so many travellers and tourists stick to the expensive restaurants on the beach, as there are some excellent restaurants to be found along the Main Road. As well as providing cheap nourishment, the food is often of a higher standard and more traditional. Drink prices can be significantly lower too. For example, beer can be as little as R30 a bottle, try finding that on the beach! I opted for a meat free supper but explained I would like something spicy. My vegetable Hydrabadi hit the spot, but I would ask for a little extra spice next time. The nan bread that came with it was beautiful light and fluffy and proved to be the perfect accompaniment to my meal. Including a bottle of water and a 10% tip my meal came in around £2 ($3)Already looking forward to my next visit to this restaurant.

Good veg Thali & Chicken Momos. Which they serve in the evening as well as the day. Clean tables & floor. Friendly staff. Not overpriced. Hand wash basin could do with a clean. Didn't check the toilets.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food quality is amazing. I especially love the Monos and Thuppa dishes. The staff are friendly and it's only a 10-minute walk from the main Palolem Beach. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely visit again and again.
