Bidrage med feedbackKnown this place for many years but the customer service and cashier failed the great and delicious treats from this place. Saturday mornings are for great hospitality and beautiful smile from the staff and not attitude or being disrespectful to customers. Hope you will consider your staffing more carefully from now on.
I have been going to Mademoiselle Colette in Menlo Park for years and love it. However, on Saturday I went to this location and was extremely disappointed. At 2pm they were out of most pastries and the place was filthy. Both trash cans were overflowing onto the floor, crumbs were everywhere, and not a single table had been cleaned. I could not find one table to sit at that was clean, and had to clean one myself. If the place had been busy I would have understood that the employees were too busy to clean up, but in the 20 minutes I was there not a single person came in. Instead of keeping the place looking nice (which you'd expect when paying $19 for two pastries! , the employees were in the backroom watching stuff (loudly on their phones. The level of unprofessionalism and filth was truly astonishing.
I would pay $7 for an almond croissant here. You could taste the freshness in their ingredients without any artificial flavors. I typically don't like lemon tarts because most weren't done right but here, I enjoyed theirs $10 each). The tartness was well balanced with its sweetness.
Cute, small location with their own unique pastries. They were slightly packed when I went. Otherwise, I could see myself chilling here with a drink and pastry to pass time. Got a goat cheese brioche, which was excellent! The goat cheese really shined through and the bread was chewy and tasty.Definitely going to try to find a time when they're not as busy to try out other pastries as well!
Stale tasting overpriced tarts and pastries. Service ok. Yelp says they have 5 health code violations. I don't doubt it. Look how they store their pastries in full sun after closing hours...
