Bidrage med feedbackAnother trip to Hershey and noticed multiple cars turning into this site with multiple businesses including the Antique building across from the farmers market building.Sandi's Bakery located right inside the market building with end of business day goodies.I opted for a key lime muffin and the strawberry scone. The muffin had great flavor and although a tad dry, it tasted better than the $3.50 over cooked strawberry scone. So over cooked my husband looked at it and thought the dried strawberries were chocolate chips.I bake and so, while on road it's nice to search for a home-baked specialty. Always hard to find a fluffy, tender scone in these bakery markets. The price for 2 items cost $7 for sub par goods .
Ms. Sandi was especially helpful and kind to our family. We have a severe allergy and she and her staff went above and beyond to make sure the food we purchased was safe. The food was delicious and we plan to go back very often. What a great place!
Go there. Go there asap. Don't ask questions, don't put on shoes (actually, put on shoes), grab your keys and wallet and go. NOW
My husband has chronic issues with gluten intolerance. I want to note he does NOT have, nor has been diagnosed with celiac disease. When he ingests gluten he has fatigue, joint pain, and many other issues that the rest of his family unfortunately suffers from. While visiting there one day, Sandi told me that most people with gluten intolerance can eat her freshly-milled products with little to no issues. I started small, buying only a few products and having my husband eat them and he said he noticed no problems (normally he can tell in a day, or even a few hours). So the next time I was down there I bought A LOT of products--bread, sticky buns, cookies, and a donut. And I encouraged him to eat a lot of them at once just to see if it kicked up his sensitivity. So he had them for dessert, sandwiches, cookies with his coffee...etc, and I asked him regularly if he noticed any issues with them. And he has not.I am so impressed by this and thrilled we have found products he can consume. Sandi is so knowledgeable and informed and she showed me where they bought their mill and the grain they use. I plan on investing in a mill now and incorporating this into our home. My one regret is I do not live closer to her bakery! If I didn't live over 2 1/2 hours away I'd be there every week!
Absolutely one of the best if not to the best baker in the region.
