The Coffee Club - Palmerston North

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the past reviews on this place. But I was pleasantly surprised. Service was wonderful, we dined on Labour Day and I wonder if it was the owner working short haired friendly lady with glasses. Anyway she was great, I asked her a few questions about the calamari on their menu as I had been burned in the past ordering calamari and being presented with frozen shaped fishy muck. She assured me their calamari was fresh cut out the back and dusted with their lemon pepper coating. I was sold and it did not disappont! Tender rings, very tasty and a real treat. Meal came with fries and was good value for money. She wandered over to our table later and had a chat to us, she was lovely. Hot chocolate was very good too, nice and sweet with marshmallows. Really happy with all aspects of our visit and will come back.

Considering the influx of (many hungover and/or tired) patrons from a festival the night before, the Coffee Club put on amazing service. We were told in advance about the food wait time (which was very reasonable considering), the staff taking the orders were efficient and friendly and there was plenty to choose from. Our table of five had all different dishes and drinks, and we were all very happy with them. Fresh, delicious, good value for money. Clean cafe with plenty of seating inside and out. I would highly recommend this place for brunch or any other meal. I would return each weekend if I lived in Palmy!

First time in here and the service was amazing warm welcoming staff and the food was beautiful

Wow, just absolutely divine. We went in for lunch and both of us had the Tempura Fish Chips gosh could not fault it!! It was so good. And the coffee was damn good as well. Hard to find somewhere else that does a good mocha, but this place definitely does wouldn't hesitate to go back again
