They won't win any culinary award, but it covers all the basics very well. Service is pretty good (unless the place is crowded), the menu has something for everyone, the prices are reasonable and the place is nice. Just don't expect to be blown away by any of the above. The food is average quality, although there's nothing wrong with that. The best of it all is that is a very safe bet and it's ideal for families and large groups.

Don Caracol has 4 different restaurants (all with the same menu) and this one near to S’Arranjassa is by far the largest. It is open all year and on Saturday nights and Sunday lunchtimes it is packed with locals and visitors alike. Book a table especially at these times. They offer all sorts of BBQ meats as well as a few fish dishes. Various fried fish etc starters. They give you bread, tomato, olives alioli which also fills you up, so don’t over order. All of the food and drinks are extremely good value by Mallorca standards which is why it’s so popular. There are loads of tables both inside and on the terrace. A large car park. There is a play area for kids, but there are quieter areas inside or other parts of the terrace if you are looking for a more peaceful meal. Were here tonight for dinner, had a very warm welcome and the usual funny dialogues with a mixture of spanish and english. We ordered the filet with roquefort sauce, it was just fantastic. The filet was so big (and so good), we were not even able to have postres . A good address for dinner in a special atmosphere.
