Bidrage med feedbackWe came here on vacation and loved it here! There was only one women here to run the place and she was very sweet and tended to us. This is probably the best ramen I?ve had. We order the Miso Ramen Chasu Porkbelly, Chicken Poke Bowl with crab meat, and lychee bubble tea (in the pictures). We also had the Japanese Chasu Porkbelly Ramen and Pan-Fried Pork with Shoyou sauce Ramen. All the food were very delicious. The ramens do have very little meat so I do recommend to order more meat if you like more but it was perfect for me. I would definitely come back here again! I HIGHLY recommend this place!
I may rate only 3/5 stars, but its a very nice place. It?s very clean, the ingredients are very fresh, and the staff is very friendly. There are also many choices to pick from. However, the taste of the food was extremely bland. The poke point sauce was exceedingly sour with no hint of umami whatsoever which should be an essential flavour found in foods rooted in Japanese cuisine. The tofu was springy and not of the hard and gummy variety, which I appreciate. The shredded carrots amd daikon (white radish) was very fresh and accentuated the texture of the dish. The scoop of avocado was also delightful. What made the taste not so ?poke? which should have Hawaiian and Japanese flavors was the addition of cilantro and crispy deep fried onions. It had a south east asian taste instead. The seaweed salad would not disappoint most, because it has a very generic taste, but I was hoping for more because I?ve had better at other poke places. The most disappointing of all was the texture of the rice. I understand that brown rice is not easy to cook. But I have had success with producing chewy and slightly sticky short grained brown rice at home that should remind one of sushi rice. The brown rice in this poke bowl was unseasoned and very dry and fluffy like Indian rice or that it came out of an instant pot (and not an authentic rice cooker). I had higher expectations, but its understandable that the local population won?t mind a poke place that produces rice +salad combinations like a subway joint that switched its bread out. The mango smoothie I ordered was refreshing to have, but also lacking because it was a powder mix and not real fruit. This is a commentary and critique to suggest improvements the restaurant can consider making.
We ordered a poke bowl, and their version of a burrito, which is like the bowl but rolled in a seaweed wrap. Both meals were great! We ordered for 7pm pick up order was ready on time, and the woman was very thankful for business. If you like spicy ask them for a side of their hot sauce, it was awesome!
I enjoyed it so much I came back 2 days later for more ! Lots of food for a good price, both the poké and ramen are delicious !
Really liked this place, good food, very chill atmosphere, and a good variety of options. I got the pork belly ramen, it had a decent amount of pork seaweed, corn, bean sprouts and mushrooms and was plentiful on the noodles. It was nice and hot when the worker brought it over. Really good flavor to it all the way through. One of my friends got the seafood ramen bowl, and my other got one of their poke bowls. Both of them enjoyed there meals, and all of enjoyed our boba as well. Good, strong flavor to the teas, and the boba wasn't super chewy but it wasn't a hard chew either (personally I think that's the perfect level of chewy to boba). However, they do have limited ingredients, so I would recommend coming earlier in the day if you are one to get seconds. Also, there was only one person working when we were there and according to my friend who has been there a few times, there has only ever been one worker. So it takes a little longer for things to be done, but obviously small places like this have been having a hard time lately. Honestly, it's worth the wait so none of us had a problem with it.
