Bidrage med feedbackI enjoyed most of the food at this restaurant and the ambiance was lovely. The only downside was that I didn't like their Manchurian gravy. Other than that, everything else was fantastic.
One of the oldest restaurants in Palakkad, Noorjehan used to set the gold standard with their Malabar biryani. I have fond memories of dining here on weekends in the '90s when I was a kid. Back then, there was only one outlet, but now they have expanded to several restaurants in town. Noorjehan was famous for their Malabar chicken biryani, much like Sapphire in Thrissur or Sagar in Calicut. However, with increased competition, other restaurants have surpassed them. One downside is that they do not serve an egg in their biryani, which may disappoint some customers. Since the pandemic, we have been ordering online, so photos do not do justice to the food. Despite this, the biryani still tastes good. Hopefully, Noorjehan will consider adding an egg to their biryani in the future.
I believe this is the first Noorjehan hotel to open in Palakkad. Normally, I order food from Fort View Noorjehan, but yesterday after watching a movie, we decided to have dinner here. It was a pleasant experience. We had porotta, pathiri, noolputtu with chicken curry, and chilly chicken. I have no complaints. I would rate the service, food, and hygiene highly. Personally, I am not a fan of their biriyani as I prefer biriyani with more flavor on the rice rather than plain white rice. However, I do enjoy their porotta and other curry items. I recommend giving it a try.
