Bidrage med feedbackWe were never in El Fogon, we went to dinner. Our server was friendly. I had the pasta with shrimps, my wife had the Camaron Diabla. She said her meal was good, but mine was great. The pasta was cooked for perfection, the sauce was creamy with the shrimps. The part was generous. We had a beer that was our bill of 374 pesos. Totally enjoyed it would definitely be back.
The most expensive Angus Steak should be cooked medium, but it was all flat and dry. The oven potato came after the steak was eaten. The handwriting was incorrect and of course over a fee.
The terrace was full, but there was only one waiter present, they had no more drinking water, we waited a long, long time until we finally got our food. It was pretty foolish when it comes to taste and I'm not sure if my salad was cleaned enough. The toilets were also very dirty. Do not go back, find many better places in the sideways of the main road.
This is a 2nd floor restaurant and bar located at the center of Palenque. Very good atmosphere and prompt service. The steaks are very good and not too much pricy. You may order 1kg, 500gr, 250gr for various cuts. There are also chorizos and other local food, also various types of seafood. They serve many types of beer from drought or botarle. Great place for dinner.
I am from Palenque. I used to be a regular customer at this place because I like the beer on tap. I usually accompany it with meals as well. However, On my last trip to Fogon Norteno, I was given a hamburger and it has ants on the bun. I asked the waiter to take it away from me and there was not apology or nothing at all. The manager even knows me but she did not bother to come to apologize for such insult. It makes me wonder about the cleanliness of their kitchen. Well, I guess I will have to find another place that serves beer on tab.
