Antica Trattoria Leone - PAITONE

Typical restaurant, menu with local dishes and offered at calm prices for lunch and work lunch. If you do not have special needs is a great place to eat as if you were at home by spending the right!

These are the typical trattorias where I like to eat at lunch break; homemade kitchen, rustic apartment and hand staff. The fixed menu has little choice but in any case they offer all dishes that would always eat as if we were at home. I would say that for a lunch during the work it can be perfect. Price report ok.

Old restaurant remained at 70/80, seems more than a canteen. Old and unpreserved environment, full of junk from all sides. Suctionless menu, the minimum essential, very low quality, precotta pasta is more rediscovered, seconds nothing that, no seal, non-existent service... everything for 11€... it is true that it costs little but you also receive little

The trattoria overlooks a large courtyard along the provincial road that connects Gavardo with Mazzano. The menu is simple but the food is good. The service is a bit disordered but in the end everything comes as required and without too much waiting. The two large rooms were immediately filled and a few people were waiting outside. Parking should be searched in the adjacent streets, surely uncomfortable for heavy vehicles. The working lunch includes first, second, contour, water, wine and coffee for 11€.

I come randomly in common of Paitone. The state road is tight enough to take off almost the breath. Light. Direction Salò. I see a wide face. Old houses hooking each other. I'm curious about a blue and white plate exposed outside the “big alley”: Ancient Lion Trattoria. It's lunchtime. I'm just standing in a small square and parking. Here I am. Old courtyard. Old tiles. The entrance. I am impressed by the welcome and good morning of the lady. Makes me sit down. Lots of tables. White and orange square tablecloths. Many commensali. The menu of the day is rich. You smell good. A couple of French ask questions about anything. I order vegetable soup. I am catapulted in the flavors of the post-war years. Excellent boiling. Grandma's recipes tell me. Impeccable service. Quick. Very popular prices. Striped watches on the newly painted walls. Cleaning. Order. Really congratulations. You don't have to change anything. I'll be back!
