Bidrage med feedbackGreat views with beautiful inside atmosphere. For such a fancy place the prices are reasonable, but I only say that because we were lucky enough to get the early bird happy hour special for a meal and an app or a meal and a dessert; we got one of each (the app and dessert were shareable size for two despite being designed for one). App: Calamari; expecting rings they were mini calamari flat pieces. They were quiet large, which was nice. The breading was subtle, not overpowering, so you got a fresh calamari taste. The marinara sauce was more salsa than Italian sauce, but it had a great spicy kick so I didn't mind it. Entree: The breading on the fish and chips was more floury than crisp breading, but same as the calamari this gave a fresh fish taste. The fries were a bit too crispy, but hearty and large! I got the beef pot pie. It was very salty, so I had to crush up the outer pie crust and ensure I was eating crust and inside together with every bite. It came with pureed peas, which I've honestly never had but will now be on my home menu. Dessert: The toffee bread pudding; I was worried the waiter steered us wrong because they also has mousse and I'm a huge fan, but I let my husband pick, but it was warm and scrumptious. The plate looked so beautiful, and the ice cream paired so wonderfully with their sprinkled toppings.
This place is good for an afternoon glass of wine or beer and a snack, however the 35 Degrees is For Sale, up for auction if there is no buyer, so what I write today may not apply, good or bad, after April.
OMG this place was so up and down. The pros and cons felt extreme. It has great views and a great seating area. I truly appreciated that. The menu is good and the prices are really inexpensive considering it's on the pier with stunning views. I came here for brekky with my boyfriend. After analyzing the menu (and waiting a very above average time for a server to come over to our table), we ordered coffee and food in one go. We thoroughly enjoyed the views and each others company, but we were also hungry and wanted coffee, so we were a bit frustrated with the super slow service there weren't many other people there when we arrived. As we were sitting there, the entire patio filled up, which would explain slow service, but it didn't really make sense for us to be waiting over 30 mins to get our food (and almost 25 mins for COFFEE) when there were only a few other tables who had ordered before us. The food was really good (and the coffee was good as well). I would go back here if I was in a super chilled mood and not really in anyyyy type of hurry, just because it was good and pretty cheap. But I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're actually hungry right now, expecting food quickly, or planning to be served quickly.
Very very slow service Food smells amazing .... still waiting for my coffee , my husbands flat white was quite good
This place has great atmosphere and great location right over the water. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The food is hit and miss. Some dishes eg scotch fillet are really good, others eg fish and chips are not so great I've had much better from the local fish and chip store. Prices for the mains aren't too bad, but they don't come with veges, so if you want something green you're best to order a side. I would go back again, but it wouldn't be my first choice
