Bidrage med feedbackWhen we arrived, we were able to select a table of our choice as it wasn't busy at all at 7pm. It did pick up thereafter. The Crispy Duck Fajitas were great, as was the Burger. What I really liked was the Coconut Creme Brulee...nice, rich cold coconut custard with a warm, crispy layer of caramelized sugar.
We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. We started with the mambo fries, which were a delightful surprise with tasty pork and aioli cheese. Next, we enjoyed a crispy duck fajita platter which was outstanding. The fish tacos and fish sandwich we ordered were both made with mahi mahi and were delicious. The service was quick and we highly recommend this place. We will definitely be returning.

For years, my family and I have been visiting Maui and Café Mambo was always one of our favorite restaurants in Paia. We used to love their chicken Fajitas and would dream about them. However, on three separate occasions when we arrived a little late at 7:45 pm, we were told that they were closed. When we finally managed to get a table, it was wet and dirty and the waiter was unfriendly and unmotivated. They didn't even provide enough glasses for all of us. To our disappointment, the chicken Fajitas were no longer on the menu. The wraps came in a dirty container and we were surprised to find that there was no feta cheese and only a tiny amount of guacamole. Despite the food being okay, we were left feeling disappointed. It seems that the owner has changed and they no longer have the same love and aloha spirit in their restaurant. It's a shame to see such a great place, which used to be one of the best places to eat in town alongside Jacque's Bistro and Café des Amis, decline in quality. We really hope to see some improvements in the future.
Great vibe food and service! Our favorite casual dining in Paia town. Love the fresh fish tacos or burger and a beer. Definitely worth checking out!
