River Sports Grill - Pagosa Springs

Oh wow.....this little place was an awesome surprise. If u don't know it's there you'll miss it.....so glad we stopped. We were greeted and treated like we were at home. The portions are a great size especially the appetizers. Whoo that could've been.a meal on its own. I luv luv luv that the onion rings were super crunch and the fries were NOT soggy at all. Server was super attentive and the view from the deck OMG next to the river. Wow.. .. Ordered the New Mexico burger smothered in green Chile. Forget the bun. I wanted that green Chile super delish a little spicy but the nice COLD beer helped lol. Yea the beer is cold also. My daughter Ordered the fish and.chicken strip basket and the fish nor the chicken were soggy. Nice and crunchy and full of flavor. Have been up to Pagosa and Durango many times had never stopped here but let me tell you. This will be a Def STOP Luvd it!!!

If you want to watch nfl football, college football or any sports. Don't expect sound. If you're sitting in the back, and want complete silence you're good there. If you want some background music sitting by the patio. Expect to be told to goto the bar for music. Bar only holds 6 to 7 people, limited bar table space. Our waitress on the other hand is the best server by far. 5 stars for her, but the food gave a bad taste in the mouth. Knowing how the owner can't give (analogy) any pin drop of music unless at the bar. This is your place to be.

This is a local spot for a lot of the guys in this town, and my regular go-to spot! As an introvert, this calm and casual atmosphere is as good as it gets for me. There are other restaurants in Pagosa that offer good food and a great atmosphere, but you're almost always fighting the tourists and the long waits. At this place there's ALWAYS a table, good service and great bar food. They have a nice outdoor patio on the river if you're visiting in the summertime, and occasionally they'll have a musician playing acoustic. They have several TV's so you can watch a football game while enjoying your smothered-in-green-chili meal (it's the best green chili in town in my opinion). I've even hosted an event here once or twice before, and Dave is an awesome guy who always lets us hang out. It's a chill, quiet place, and my favorite place!

Yummy burgers and no frill drinks. Local place and good. Wings are meaty, a good go too.
